About the artist:

In a career that has taken him from the Swedish underground to Madison Square Gardens and the UK charts, his Midas-like touch has seen Axel Hedfors rise as an idol of modern house music.

Axwell, born in Lund, Sweden, grew up in a small town where music sparked his journey to global stardom. He began producing music after discovering a game on his Amiga 500, which led him to create his first vinyl in 1995 under the name OXL. By the early 2000s, Axwell was a sought-after remixer for artists like Usher and Madonna. His 2005 anthem “Watch The Sunrise” and collaborations with Steve Angello as Supermode further boosted his career.

In 2008, Axwell co-founded Swedish House Mafia, which dominated the global music scene with hits like “Save the World” and “Don’t You Worry Child.” After a hiatus, they reunited in 2018, releasing their long-awaited debut album Paradise Again in 2022, which topped charts worldwide. Axwell also achieved success as part of Axwell Λ Ingrosso, with hits like “More Than You Know.”

With multiple GRAMMY® nominations and a spot on DJ Mag’s “Top 100 DJs” list, Axwell’s influence on electronic music continues to grow. For him, music is about evoking emotions and enhancing the world around us.
