Deepanker Khosla of Michelin-starred, sustainable HAŌMA in Bangkok welcomes Mohamad Orfali of celebrated MENA’s 50 Best No. 1 Orfali Bros in Dubai

Deepanker Khosla is the chef and owner of HAŌMA in Bangkok, a neo-Indian award-winning restaurant with a socially and environmentally responsible heart and explosive flavours that at the same time is one of the most sustainable restaurants in the world. It’s the result of a deep exploration of his roots and a journey that takes guests from East to West, from the land to the sea and through every corner of the immense Indian territory, all done with Thai-produce, most of which they grow themselves.

On the 19th and 20th of July 2023, his newly renovated and very green restaurant will be the backdrop of two very special nights. A culinary exchange of cultural heritage that will result in a tasting menu that combines modern and fun preparations of Mohamad Orfali with the vibrant flavours of Haōma.

HAŌMA earned its first Michelin star in 2022, combined with a Michelin green star for outstanding work in sustainability. Deepanker Khosla also achieved the first ever ‘Champions of Change' award given in 2021 by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants List and is this year a 2023 candidate for the Top 100 list of The Best Chef Awards.

EVERYBODY LOVES ORFALI:  

Three brothers making their own path and rules in the culinary world. Originally from Syria, Mohammad, Wassim and Omar Orfali now live in Dubai where they opened Orfali Bros Bistro, a modern bistro influenced by their travels, love of art and food experiences all over the world.

The two-storey restaurant’s backbone is an open test kitchen where Mohamad and his team create magic. On the second floor, the two youngest brothers, Wassim and Omar present a colourful desserts display, another part of their signature Bistronomy idea with which they also received a very fast Michelin Bib Gourmand on the brand-new Michelin guide for Dubai.
