Characters, Relationship and Emotions - Fundamentals of Improv Comedy Scenes

From Boom Chicago to Bangkok, The Comedy Club Bangkok is delighted to be hosting MATT CASTELLVI for an one off Improv Comedy Workshop. This workshop will focus on making your scene matter and the importance of character. Learn how to improvise with intent and how to create deep and memorable characters. Furthermore we will explore why scenes fail and how to add a third dimension to 2 dimensional scene work. We will get out of our heads and explore pathways that will allow us to surprise the audience and ourselves with memorial onstage personas, alongside the importance of relationship between characters and the emotions that can develop.

About your workshop leader

As one of the core members of Boom Chicago. Matt Castellvi is an American comedian who has been performing worldwide for the past 15 years. Born and Raised in Chicago, Matt trained at Second City, iO, and CSz Theater in Chicago and performed regularly with The Musical Armando at iO and with Baby Wants Candy at Second City. He's performed in many improv festivals and is also a stand-up comedian, headlining and tour opener for Iliza Schlesinger , TJ Miller, Jim Gaffigan, Therapy Gecko and Alan Carr.
