UNCLE DUGS:
DJ, broadcaster, author, promoter, a multiple award-winning man dedicated to this scene since its earliest roots: No one does it like Uncle Dugs.
The man behind Rinse FM’s most popular show, the Sony Award-nominated #RCFF, Simon Duggins is a veritable rave professor. Educated in the original rave trenches, graduated on the pirates brandishing a doctorate made of pure vinyl, he’s been neck-deep in rave, jungle and drum & bass culture since 1991, collecting, supporting and hardcore grafting with game-changing, scene-defining platforms such as Rinse and Kool FM. He’s been a name on the London airwaves since the beginning but now he’s known worldwide. It’s been this way since the early 2010s when he became the first and only newcomer old school DJ. Frequently booked to play some of Europe’s best and most prestigious raves – Glastonbury, Snowbombing, Bestival, Boomtown, Es Paradis Ibiza, Ministry Of Sound London, Printworks – his notoriety is still rising every year.
For many, Uncle Dugs is a trusted voice of jungle authority. He’s a rare breed of artist who can relate to, and unite, all generations who’ve come through over the decades. He can make sense of the last  30 years of the breakbeat phenomenon because he was there, contributing to it, playing it, living it. Because of this reputation and endearing personality, he’s inspired a whole community of supporters who tune into his weekly #RCFF shows and attend his Vibena events religiously. He’s been nominated in the UK Drum & Bass Awards every year since 2007 and is currently the reigning Best DJ and Best Radio Show in the Jungle Awards. Much more importantly though, he’s on your level; he’s a raver, a music fan, he asks the questions and plays the tunes you want to hear.
As a DJ, he joins the same important dots: Fully focused on the party, Uncle Dugs' sets navigate you through every era. Rooted in the old school but focused on the future, his mixes bring the very best of all forms of drum & bass and jungle together in one multi-generational shot of concentrated vibes. No chin-stroking, no moodiness, just fun: whether he’s tearing up a festival or holding down one of his own consistently sold-out events, this is guaranteed. And the vibes are getting stronger…
Following the success of his book, Rave Diaries & Tower Block Tales, and multiple documentary appearances, Dugs is now championing rave into the future with exciting new plans and ideas on how to maintain the same mission that’s inspired him since day one: to preserve this culture, its strength and unique energy, and make sure we never forget where we’ve come from, where we’re heading and why we’re heading there… No one can do that in the way he can, and he’s just as inspired now as he has been since its earliest roots. Run come follow him.

VDUBZ:
Vicky Wickenden has come a long way from the days of mixing at house parties around the South East London streets where she was raised. Over a decade since her debut set as the newly christened Lady V Dubz saw her playing alongside Logan D and Lady MC, the queen of double drops has soared to international notoriety whilst rubbing shoulders with some of the main players in the Drum and Bass industry. In 2009, V Dubz hooked up with MC Lady Blazer and began the female DnB collective, Feminine Takeover which led to their debut international performance in Lille in France. The duo would later rejoin forces as V Dubz masterminded the GTA collective in 2014. As her reputation grew far and wide, March 2010 saw Lady V Dubz approached by another South East London native, MC Fatman D with an offer of joining his Biological Beats agency. It wasn’t long before you could find her showcasing her talent at events and on the radio with Fatman himself. 2010 proved to be an important year for V Dubz with her also joining forces with STUN London and FabricLIVE resident Macpherson, which saw her host residencies at Egg London and Café 1001. 2011 continued to see the international bookings flying in throughout Europe and an appearance on the mighty DnBTV with the Biological Beats crew. The following 12 months soon turned out to be one of the most pivotal times for V Dubz when she was spotted by Radio 1Xtra's DJ Bailey at the DEF:INITION Great Ormand Street Fundraiser in Hidden Nightclub. So impressed with her mixing skills and the crowd reaction, Bailey invited V Dubz onto his weekly show, a performance which drew serious interest from all over the scene. In February 2013, V Dubz was voted Best Female DJ at the National Drum and Bass Awards, almost winning the award for the first time. Her profile continued to grow and in June of the same year V Dubz played her debut at the Sundance Festival with her set featuring Grima MC and Enamie becoming the most notable of the event. Later that year, she graced the decks at Breakin’ Science, One Nation and Sunbeatz in Ibiza playing a few resident sets and a main stage set at the closing party at Summum. This would be the first of many visits to the Balearic island where she would begin to anchor herself as a force to be reckoned with. Her final major booking of 2013 was a main stage set alongside producer Jayline at Nicky Blackmarket and Fatman D's Birthday Bash at the Coronet in London. 2014 saw the creation of the Girls Take Action collective, bringing like minded female emcees and DJs together from in and around the South East of England. This was a natural evolution from the Feminine Takeover days and saw V Dubz bringing in DJs Dutchie and Feline Reflex as well as emcees Enamie, Y-Zer, Dotty & Lady Blazer into the fold to name but a few. GTA have performed up and down the country and have sat in for Stamina MC on his Rinse FM show two years running and were chosen personally by him. The following years saw V Dubz return to Ibiza where she played main stage at Sankey’s, Es Paradis and Zoo Project catapulting her firmly into international DJ stardom. In 2016 she played her debut set at Innovation in the Snow, Innovation in the Sun, Heatwave Festival in Mallorca and the biggest gig to date, Glastonbury Festival alongside Macpherson. Coverage such as this has earned her the respect of artists and fans alike and saw V Dubz awarded Best Female Artist prize at the Drum and Bass awards in both 2017 and 2018. Not only content with DJing, V Dubz has joined forces with Macpherson to create the DubSon Sounds brand that is well known for its stage at the annual Hackney Carnival and showcases at huge festivals such as Glastonbury and Boomtown with so much more in the pipeline. V Dubz has been turning her hand to production, some of which has already been released, with more interest already lined up from some major labels. V Dubz has proved her ability as a credible and skilled DJ behind the decks. The award winner will continue to rise through the ranks of the scene to demonstrate just why she is South East London’s Queen of DnB.

FELON MC:

Richard Bradley aka Felon MC was born and raised in Basingstoke, Hampshire. He started writing rhymes from the age of 14. As a young teen in the early 90’s, Felon saw underground Garage music take off. He was inspired by the music of the time and it was the sound everyone was into and for him, it was where it all began. Heavily influenced by this he started writing lyrics at home. Spending all his time developing his style and crafting his flow, perfecting bars and writing rhymes became regularity. A year later, after discovering Drum and Bass and Jungle he was about to take another direction in his journey as an MC and when he did there was no turning back. He fell in love with the vibes that came across from old tape packs and the interaction one person could have with the crowd.“My first recollection of an MC was around 1998 when I was 13 on a hardcore tape from 1996 Helter Skelter at the Sanctuary Milton Keynes. Hixxy on the decks and Vibes & Lively on the mic, even back then the vibes and energy came across so much! My first memory of a D&B MC was on the first tape pack I ever bought when I was 15. It was a Hysteria 25 (The Payback) at some venue in Bristol. The one with the naked lady on the front of the pack sitting down with a load of fiver notes as the background? For those who remember that one? MC’s Fearless, Skiba, Trigga, Bassman and more! I love the way heads like Fearless and Skiba interacted with the crowd and the DJ was sick! I Knew I wanted a slice of the pie from an early age had a lot of ambition really early, a couple of years of writing rhymes followed and becoming best mates with my microphone!”

Around his 18th birthday he began to get on the mic at a local event run by a local DJ and Label Manager. The following 3 years past and his presence in the local scene grew and he took his chance at as many raves as possible. With growing popularity and working hard at networking up and down the country, not only led to playing at local nights but bigger venues and surrounding areas whilst always looking to step up his game and progress more.

Around 2007 he was approached by a Bournemouth Promoter by the name of Dean White aka Whitey and was asked to be a resident MC for a night he was setting up in central Bournemouth Called ENTER. Linking up with another resident MC, MC Skydro, who he had met previous to this at other events, the pair started rolling together a lot and when Enter started to run monthly in Bournemouth, he decided he wanted to relocate there so did exactly that. In November 2008 he relocated and began then to establish a good student following and fan base of his own. Performing at student events on a regular basis as well as working closely with the 2 main promoters Whitey with ENTER and Judda with DRUMFUNK, he then started to focus more on moving the game forward.

Over the next couple of years he saw himself at much bigger events and has established a relationship with not one but two of the UK’s biggest names in Drum and Bass and Dance music, Slammin Vinyl and Innovation. These guys are BIG in the game and hold some of the UK and Europe’s biggest and most unique festivals and all night dance events. In June 2010 Felon was asked to debut at Innovation in the Sun out in Spain and Westfest shortly following in October. The Main Stages at these events feature all the biggest names in the scene so this was a huge opportunity for him and a chance for him to prove him self to a huge company and massive crowds and that he did! With a full circle of styles he showcases a mixture of hard hitting double time, ragga style slow bars and has a presences and confidence when hosting on stage, delivering hard hitting clear rhymes. Showing he is doing things in a unique way with lasting impression, Felons ever growing popularity secured his place at Innovation in Sun 2011 and Innovation in the Dam in 2011.

Proving hard work pays off Felon was later approached by and signed to Urban Agency in April this year. With a variety of artists from across the UK and Europe, Urban agency has grown from its beginnings into what is now one of the most influential agencies in the scene! With continuous bookings, and now onboard with a Top agency, finally getting representation has been a big move forward. The agency brings in bookings from all over and Switzerland, Belgium, Germany and Israel for the rest of this year, are just to name few. His profile is rising fast and breaking Europe has been a big step.

Things have progressed massively this year, on stage and behind the scenes and Felon is also now working alongside Subzero. These guys have just done a guest mix for Kmag so keep your eye out for that! He is a passionate, dedicated, inspirational individual who has been taken into the Drum and Bass community as a result of hard work. Felon is pushing just as hard into 2012 and his unique style, professional manor and his determination and creativeness will lead him to remain as a valuable addition to the Drum and Bass scene.
