About KIRILL SHAPOVALOV

Berlin based DJ / Producer and eccentric from St. Petersburg. The artist is a prominent figure in the world music scene. During the past few years, Kirill has toured through many European countries, becoming a frequent guest in such cities as Berlin, Paris, Antwerp, Vilnius and Tbilisi.

 

Concurrently the prolific artist has released a series of bright podcasts on such labels as Maricas, Pornceptual, Honey Sound System, Mixmag, Veneno Brazil and many more. His live acts were fixed by authoritative international projects.

 

Boiler Room, Rinse FM, HÖR, 20ft Radio, Test FM... In the club culture, Kirill finds not only inspiration, but also a real, almost carnal passion. Describing his favorite music, he often uses the word “sexual,” and treats his own performances as a kind of flirting with the audience.

 

Kirill brings up the degree of musical arousal to maximum with the help of stylistic contrasts and graceful techniques. His DJ sets combine in masterful manner different styles of electronic music.
