Ani is a multidisciplinary artist at the intersection of unusual and forgotten records, music community, and political/economic solidarity. Her record shop and party Bad Times Disco has built a strong community in Hong Kong through curated DJ lineups, mutual aid fundraisers, and an inclusive crowd.

DANGDUT BANGET

Dangdut Banget is a collector and DJ of rare and exotic sounds from around the world.

Originally from The Netherlands, he has spent most of the last decade living in Bangkok, Thailand where he has become a regular face in the DJ scene. He can often be found playing at the famed Studio Lam, during his own event focussed on tropical music (Basa Bongo) or as a guest at other reaccuring parties (Nite Ride, Isan Dancehall).

He worked at the great Zudrangma Records for about 5 years where he was a part of the stores DJ crew and where he spent many of his days wading through the shop’s extensive archive of records, learning a thing or two about the diverse wealth of Thai music.

His digging has brought him to numerous places around the globe, which is reflected in his DJ sets. So expect dance music from all points of the compass: tropical disco, cumbia, funaná, kaseko, bollywood, chutney, zouk, etc.

He has played at bars from Singapore to Bogotá, at festivals in Thailand, and has done plenty of guest sessions with friends at noteable online radio platforms. Check out his bi-monthly show on Bangkok Community Radio, where he delves into his
collection to put together an hour of favourite tracks from a certain genre, country, or region in the world.

He currently also runs Zubaidah Records, a modest online record shop offering records sourced in shops, basements, attics, dungeons, at markets and from private collections around the world.

A legend known across the world, we are thrilled to have the man himself come and craft a unique show for the RomRom faithful - not to be missed!

In 2010, Onra released his latest LP Long Distance on All City Records. It features tracks with Olivier DaySoul, fellow French beatmaker Walter Mecca, and T3 from Slum Village, soul singer Reggie B and keyboard player Buddy Sativa. It received press coverage from respected medias such as Pitchfork, which gave the album an outstanding 8.0/10, as well as Jay-Z's blog, LifeAndTimes.

PAM ANANTR

Pam is a Bangkok-based DJ serving up a broad palette of sounds. Her sets are a journey through all her influences, ranging from soulful Disco, Boogie, Jazz-Funk, Electronics, House with jazzy, acid and uplifting vibes.

RAH

RAH’s foray into electronic music started on the dance floor in the early 00’s, where she would work up a sweat raving to drum&bass. Her sound is ever-evolving, as she constantly explores the gamut of old and new genres, while being rooted in fundamental vibrations of the rhythm section - bass is the place
