Alliance Française Bangkok, the Embassy of France in Thailand, in association with the EUNIC Thailand Cluster, present Street Art Beyond the City – The Evolution of Street Art Practices, an evening dedicated to exploring the transformation of street art from its roots in urban space to new contemporary forms.

The program invites audiences to reflect on how artists move from the street into galleries, installations, and performances, while maintaining the spirit of public expression and community engagement.

About the Program
The evening begins with the screening of Connections  (2024), a poetic documentary by Thomas Granovsky. Shot in the desert of Marfa, Texas, the film captures French artist Romain Froquet’s ephemeral land art installation, weaving symbolic lines into the earth as a reflection on humanity’s ties with the natural world. 

A panel discussion will follow, bringing together Thai and European street and visual artists to share their perspectives on the future of the movement. Moderated by Alisa Phommahaxay (curator, author, and agent), the panel will feature: Romain Froquet, Olivia de Bona, Seb Toussaint, Alex Face, FGB among others! Together, these voices will discuss how street art continues to evolve across cultures, contexts, and generations, while remaining a powerful tool for creativity and social commentary.

About the Festival
The event is presented as part of the Krung Thep Creative Streets Festival, a celebration of urban creativity bringing together local and international talents to showcase how art can transform public space and inspire communities.
