We’re beginning a new chapter with The River Heritage Series - a collection of cultural experiences shaped by life along the Chao Phraya.
For those who call Bangkok home, it’s also an invitation to slow down, step onto the river, and rediscover the stories that have long been part of its fabric.
First up: a journey into the legacy of Chinese migration in Bangkok told through river explorations, shared meals, and a little friendly game of mahjong on 5 and 6 June 2026.
An Evening at the House
The mood shifts to sunset drinks, followed by a Mahjong 101 sessionwith Mahjong Palace NYC. Founded in New York, Mahjong Palace has reimagined the game for a new generation - less about competition, more about gathering, conversation, and cultural memory. Having hosting lively sessions everywhere from galleries to private clubs, and now, for the first time, in Thailand. Led by founder Subhas Kandasamy, the evening is open to everyone - whether you’ve a newcomer who has never touched a tile or have played for years, the table is open. No gambling, no pressure; just good company, a bit of strategy, and plenty of laughs.
