Tipsy Tubing, the "original" being from Vang Vieng, Laos, actually has a long history in Pai. Miss Pornpunnee Choukitkoon is credited as the first person that brought tubing to Pai - thank you, queen! The story goes she visited Vang Vieng as a teen 34 years ago and loved the idea. She sent foreign guests from her guesthouse in Chiang Mai up to Pai and once there gave them a tube and a can of Leo for 50 baht and sent them from Pai town to her guesthouse by river! Now that's a cool history lesson!
